MRNS – Nosara Airport

Minutes from Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada, right in the heart of surf country on the Nicoya Peninsula, Nosara is the kind of stop that justifies stepping off the beaten path. The short, paved runway — hemmed in by rising terrain to the north, east, and south, and open to the Pacific on the west — calls for solid pattern discipline. The approach path has obstacles of its own, all modeled into the scenery, so it pays to brief the arrival rather than wing it. Nothing extreme, just the kind of flying that rewards attention.
At just over 1,000 meters of asphalt, it's a comfortable strip for light singles and twins: a Seneca or a Navajo can drop in here without drama and with plenty of margin to spare.
This X-Plane 12 scenery was built with custom-modeled objects and hand-crafted textures, moving past the generic look of default scenery to get you closer to what you'd actually find flying into this corner of Guanacaste. Worth adding to the logbook.
